Witt: Speed gets noticed
Like most college recruits his age (17), Josh Witt has played the game of football since he could walk and hold a ball at the time. Unlike many juniors in high school, he has tussled in two states known for their pigskin play-Texas and Florida.
"In Texas, I think the players are a little bit bigger and stronger, but in south Florida, there's a lot more speed," he said Friday.
Witt is exemplary of that. Cypress Bay (Fla.), his current address, has already started its outdoor track-and-field season. Witt is a member of the 6A school's 4X100 relay team.
