Cleveland (OH.) John Adams defensive end Micah Robinson had to change his visit plans a couple weeks ago that left Akron and Syracuse at the top of his list. This past weekend he took his visit to the Orange and he was pleased.
"Overall I enjoyed myself a lot. It was a good visit," Robinson said. "The tradition and the way the coaches treat the players really stuck out to me."
On his visit the 6-foot-3, 230 pound Robinson had many items that could have been his favorite, but he narrowed his list to just a few.
"My favorite part of the trip to Syracuse, I had a lot of good moments now that I think about it. The dinner that we had, the coaches, and the position meetings were probably my favorites."
What was it about his position meeting caught his eye?
"Coach Brumbaugh, he gave me a lot of one-on-one tips and showed me the drills that I would do if I played for him."
One other coaches meeting stuck out to Robinson as well and that was with Doug Marrone.
"My meeting with Coach Marrone went well. He was telling me about the x-factors for him when he was picking a school."
Now that he has taken his visit to Syracuse he has thought about what his overall impression of the Orange is.
"My overall impression of Syracuse is that it is a good school academically and athletically."
Right now as signing day approaches Robinson talked about what he likes about each school.
Akron: "What I like about Akron right now is the distance because I have a disabled sister, so being close to home is kind of important to me."
Syracuse: "At Syracuse I really like the coaches."
With Robinson being down to Syracuse and Akron how long will he wait before making a decision?
"I am probably going to make my decision tomorrow [Monday] night."
