Bedell checks out SU

Last week Syracuse University finished up its 2011 recruiting class and it has not taken long for them to move on to 2012. One of the prospects they recently had on campus was an athlete named Stacey Bedell.

"My trip up to Syracuse was good. My favorite part of the trip was hearing the coach's talk about the school and seeing the crowd at the basketball game."

The main Syracuse coach who speaks with Bedell is John Anselmo.

"Coach Anselmo is recruiting me. I think he is a great guy and very straight forward."

Bedell, 5-foot-8, 165 pounds lives in New York and is familiar with the Orange. Since he knows about the Orange already he mentioned a few items he liked about them.

"They have great coaching, great facilities, and the academics." Bedell said. "I think Syracuse is a great school. The coaching staff, facilities, the team, and their academics stick out."

While up in Syracuse Bedell was informed that good news should be on the way in the form of an offer.

"Syracuse did say that they were going to be offering me."

Other than Syracuse there are a handful of schools showing Bedell early interest.

"I am being looked at by Rutgers, Connecticut, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Boston College, and Penn State."

He has also made a couple other visits.
