2025 ATH Floyd Boucard updates recruitment: 'It's between BC and Syracuse'

2025 ATH Floyd Boucard grew up in Quebec and followed Syracuse growing up. So when the Orange extended an offer to him last week, it was a special moment for him.

Boucard, who has played running back, wide receiver, defensive line and linebacker at various points of his career, was originally in the class of 2024 and attended Armand-Corbeil in Canada.

But he reclassified to 2025 and transferred to Mobile (AL) Christian to gain more exposure. It's worked, as Boucard now holds offers from Syracuse, Maryland, Marshall, Campbell and Boston College, among others.

I spoke with Floyd on this week's The Juice on the Cuse Podcast, presented by Rivals.com, and we covered a lot of ground, including his relationship with Syracuse running backs coach Mike Lynch, his plans for getting up to Syracuse for another visit, and who currently leads in his recruitment.

Spoiler alert. Syracuse is one of the schools.

"I can’t lie," Boucard says on the podcast. "It’s between Boston College and Syracuse. Both of the colleges have shown me so much love and respect."

Afterward, editor-in-chief Brad Bierman calls in and we discuss a busy week of news in the Syracuse basketball world, including Benny Williams and Chris Bell announcing they are returning for a second year, and the hiring of assistant coach Brenden Straughn.
