After flipping his commitment to Florida in July, 2025 ATH Demetres Samuel Jr. re-committed to Syracuse on Sunday evening, he announced on social media.

Samuel visited Syracuse for its matchup against Holy Cross over the weekend

"The culture is what stood out to me," Samuel said in a previous interview about Syracuse. "The coaches made sure to make it feel like home for me and my family. Overall, great visit."

Samuel plays wide receiver and defensive back at Heritage in Palm Bay, and led his team to a 9-2 record in 2023.

"I'm a physical DB and a ball hawk," Samuel said in a previous interview. "You can throw me anywhere in the secondary and I’ll succeed."
