Familiar foes

At the end of June Dorian Graham took a trip to the Syracuse camp and after that visit he received an offer the day after he left New York.
One more visit during the summer was planned and that was this past weekend when he tripped to Wake Forest. After the conclusion of that camp the two-star safety hoped an offer was on the way, but it was not. Why are the Demon Deacons waiting to offer?

"They like me a lot but they want to see tape of my first game and they will base my offer off of that."
Demon Deacons recruiting coordinator/Defensive line Coach Ray McCartney is heading up the recruitment of Graham and he helped the prospect feel comfortable on his visit.
"It was a pretty good trip I like the campus and I like the coaches I got a nice vibe a good feel for the place it is real small and compact."
One item that remains consistent with Graham is that he will be looking for a school where he can not only excel on the field but in the class room as well. The quick trip to the Demon Deacons camp showed just how they could help him off of the field.
"The academics are real good and it is a small school so you really get a lot of work done in the classroom and you stay focused on what you have to do."
Last month when Graham left the Syracuse camp he said that they were his number one school. Now just a couple weeks later the Orange are not a clear cut number one.
"I would say that both Syracuse and Wake Forest are about even now."
With the Demon Deacons waiting to offer Graham will wait as well on his decision and take as many visits as he can until he feels comfortable with a school.
"I am going to take as many visits as I can." Graham said, "I would like to make my decision around October or December."
As a junior Graham totaled 31.5 tackles and two of those take downs were sacks. His tackle amount put him eighth overall on the team. That may not sound great but he also played in two games less than everybody ahead of him. During the season if he played in all 14 games he would have been on pace to place fifth on the team.
