Several years ago, 2025 offensive lineman Iseah James Camara's uncle suggested he try American football.

Camara, who plays for the Weinheim Longhorns in Germany, was filling into his current 6-foot-3, 340-pound frame and seemed like an ideal candidate for it.

"After I tried it," Camara said to The Juice Online, "I was passionate about it from the beginning."

That passion has led to Camara to becoming an American prospect.

Camara took a visit to Syracuse last week, and got to tour the facilities and meet the coaches.

"I think everyone I've talked to from Syracuse was very nice and passionate talking about the college and how you get taken care of as a student and player," Camara said.

Two of the people he spoke with included Maximilian Mang and Mark Petry. Both are scholarship players at Syracuse who hail from Germany.

"I’ve talked to both and they both let me feel that Syracuse definitely a place for some international guys," Camara said. "Not only from the athlete side but as a student in general."

Perhaps that could be in Camara's future.

"I think Syracuse is definitely a college I would consider myself going to if I get the opportunity," Camara said. "I feel like they make students no matter where they are from feel welcomed and comfortable."

In the meantime, Camara will look to build on his resume, which includes being a 3x All-State Team selection.

"When I start something, I finish it no matter how hard it is," Camara said. "So every training, every block, every game, I make sure I finish it 110 percent. When I see there is a slight chance to improve my work, I’m willing to give the best effort and dedication I can to improve it."
