JUCO DB Jakobie Seabourn commits to Syracuse

Santa Barbara (CA) City College defensive back transfer Jakobie Seabourn committed to Syracuse, he announced on social media.

Seabourn officially visited Syracuse over the weekend, and that proved to be the last thing he needed to see before pulling the trigger.

"Many things played a role," Seabourn said. "The coaches were great genuine people as well as the players."

In 11 games with the Vaqueros last year, the Texas native finished with 39 tackles and an interception as Santa Barbara CC finished 10-1 on the season with a win over Desert in the SBCC Beach Bowl.

Seabourn selected Syracuse over offers from Missouri State, Ball State, Grambling State and Prairie View A&M.

"The defense was a perfect match for me," Seabourn said. And the town of Syracuse was amazing."
