Orange add Hewett

Class of 2019 defensive back Dorian Hewett always had the Syracuse Orange on his mind ever since he earned an offer from the program back in late June.

Today Hewett decided to jump on that scholarship offer and announced his decision to verbally commit to the Orange.

Here at Cuse Confidential we caught up with Hewett to talk about his decision and recent trip to Syracuse, New York.

“I’ve decided to commit to Syracuse,” Hewett told Cuse Confidential. “I love the program and just the feeling I got when I was walking around campus. Everything felt so much like home to me.”

This past weekend Hewett made the long journey up to Syracuse to check out the campus and meet with the coaching staff before eventually deciding to make Syracuse his future home.

“I decided to visit this past weekend,” said Hewett. “It went really, the visit overall was great. I looked at the campus and the facility and I also participated in the camp they had on campus too.”

At the moment Syracuse has now has nine commitments total in the class of 2019 and Hewett plans on getting some more guys to join soon.

“I know we have a lot of talent down here at North Shore High School,” he said. “Together we are all going to be something to look out for at Syracuse over the next couple of years.”
