Former Syracuse defensive back and current WROC-TV's Carl Jones is feeling bullish about the Orange. Syracuse has started 3-0 for the second year in a row and is receiving votes in both the AP and Coaches Polls after a 35-20 win over Purdue on Saturday.

I spoke with Jones on this week's The Juice on the Cuse Podcast, presented by Rivals.com, and we discussed how he sees the rest of the season playing out, among other topics. While Jones (who played at SU from 2016-19) prefaces his prediction on Syracuse's top players staying healthy, he believes SU is in position for a great season.

"I think this is a 9-3, 8-4 type ball club. I really think the defense is really darn good. And even without Oronde Gadsden, Syracuse can win some games and make this a really darn good year."

Afterward, editor-in-chief Brad Bierman calls in to break down SU's win over Purdue, and looks forward to Army. While the Black Knights play a unique style of football, Brad expects the Orange to move to a perfect 4-0 on the season.
