Podcast: Syracuse must rebound from loss to FSU

Syracuse Basketball suffered its first loss of the season at the JMA Wireless Dome on Tuesday, dropping an 85-69 game to Florida State. It was a rough shooting night for SU, as they combined for 1-14 shooting from downtown.

We discussed the loss on today's The Juice on the Cuse Podcast, presented by Rivals and Bleav. It had implications for Syracuse's NCAA Tournament hopes, as the Orange sunk to 82nd in NET, down from 68. It was also Syracuse's first Q3 loss of the season, which could loom large during Selection Sunday in March.

Still, it wasn't all bad news as incoming Syracuse freshman Donnie Freeman was named a McDonald's All-American, SU's first since Malachi Richardson in 2014.

We also welcome on Byron Washington, a three-star offensive lineman from Texas. The 2025 prospect was offered by Syracuse in December, and tells us he plans on taking an official visit later this year.
