Roundup: Recruits react to Syracuse's 35-20 win over Purdue
Syracuse went on the road for the first time this season, and moved to 3-0 with a 35-20 win over Purdue.
While the Orange didn't host any recruits at SU this weekend, we spoke with several recruits who came away impressed with Syracuse's performance...
"I loved it. The linemen were mean and gritty the entire game. The skill players were putting the work on the other team. The win was expected, though. Their team has dawgs and I think they will keep winning because of the energy they have on that team. I was watching my former teammate Lequint Allen dominate on the field tonight as well. It’s nice to look at him and have him show other kids in his hometown that dreams can be fulfilled when you put the work in.”
"Statement road win. I am even more excited to see the Loud House in person. Love the young energy around the program. It's exciting times in Cuse."
"I thought Syracuse played really well overall. They're definitely starting off this season strong!"
"It was a really good team win. Garrett Shrader had some really good reads and the defense was killing it too!"
"I loved the game i think the team is playing great! I’ve been a Syracuse fan since i was young because my Dad kicked there from 1995-99. So I love watching the team!"
"Great way for Syracuse to stick through the game and keep playing until the end. Some mistakes were made but that didn’t stop Cuse from getting the win. Praying that Oronde Gadsden has a speedy recovery too."
"That was a fun game to watch! I can’t wait to get up there this year for a home game. I think they played well. I don’t think it was their best. But at the college level you take wins when you get them."
"I think it was a great win and from what I saw. Well played by Syracuse."
