Syracuse guard Judah Mintz to enter 2023 NBA Draft

Syracuse freshman guard Judah Mintz announced he will enter the 2023 NBA Draft via Instagram on Monday evening. He will maintain eligibility to return to college, he added.

Mintz was named to the All-ACC Rookie Team after averaging 16.3 ppg and 4.6 apg, while shooting 44.3 percent from the field.

He is currently projected in some mock drafts as a second round pick, while in others, he is not currently projected.

The deadline to withdraw from the draft is June 12.

"I'm excited and blessed to have this opportunity and I can not wait to see what is in store for my future," Mintz said in the post.

It has been an offseason of change for the Syracuse basketball team. Jim Boeheim announced his retirement after 47 years of coaching the team, and Red Autry was promoted to head coach.

His first order of business was to get former Rivals five-star guard JJ Starling from the portal from Notre Dame.

Mintz joins John Bol Ajak and Symir Torrence (both entered the transfer portal) as key offseason roster moves.
