What we know for next basketball season

Syracuse basketball finished up their season on Saturday. Sunday came and they lost their top assistant Mike Hopkins. Monday the hits kept coming as it was reported that Tyler Lydon would be heading to the NBA. Now as the dust has settled Orange fans can look ahead to next season.

What We Know:

When the season tips-off next year Orange fans will see Jim Boeheim leading a group of players that fans know for the most part. The starting five should be all returning players led by super sophomore Tyus Battle. The other four are projected to be Frank Howard, Taureen Thompson, Matt Moyer and Paschal Chukwu.

Incoming Class:

As of right now there are three players Bourama Sidibe, Oshae Brissett, and Howard Washington that have decided to join the Orange.

Recruiting:

There is still time for Syracuse to add members to this class. As talked about before guards Eric Ayala, Chris Duarte, and Tremont Waters as possible recruits. Forward Jordan Tucker is also back in the picture for the Orange.

The Grad-transfer route will also be an option for Syracuse. That will be a slower recruitment than the usual recruit because a player will have to graduate before they enroll at Syracuse.

What we don’t know:

Who will the next Syracuse assistant be? That is a big question right now, but whoever it is has some big shoes to fill. Mike Hopkins was big for the Orange on and off of the court.

Next Season:

Despite a few question marks right now the Orange still have a potential roster that could make a run at post season play.
