William Patterson signs with Syracuse

2023 center William Patterson signed a National Letter of Intent to play at Syracuse, the school announced on Thursday morning.

The Patrick School (NJ) athlete is rated the No. 33 center by Rivals and is a three star recruit. He is a 7-foot-2, 220-pound big man who played at The Patrick School for his senior season after spending time with Bishop Walsh High (MD).

He joins a team in transition, with four players (John Bol Ajak, Symir Torrence, Jesse Edwards and Joe Girard) in the transfer portal, and guard Judah Mintz undergoing the NBA Draft process.

Syracuse also announced Notre Dame transfer guard JJ Starling joining the team on Wednesday.

Jim Boeheim retired as head coach after 47 years, and was replaced by his associate head coach, Red Autry.
