2024 ATH Zekai Wimberly committed to Syracuse on Saturday, he announced on social media. Wimberly was on his official visit to Central New York and was the second commitment of the day, joining running back Jaden Hart.

"Just having multiple conversations with all the coach including Coach (Dino) Babers," Wimberly said of his decision to commit to The Juice Online. "This really feels like a family."

Wimberly is one of the top New Jersey prospects in this cycle, and committed to SU over offers Ole Miss, Towson, Temple, Maine, Monmouth and Sacred Heart, among others.

Wimberly also said the coaching staff was a significant reason why he pledged to the Orange.

"I truly feel that every single one of the coaches want only the best for me," Wimberly said. "I'm forever grateful."

The West Orange (NJ) High athlete took an unofficial visit to Syracuse in April and said he appreciated the history and tradition of the Orange.

He singled out Marshall Street restaurant "Varsity" as a moment that stood out on the visit.

"The same sign still stands (at Varsity)," Wimberly said in a previous interview. "Like this was Ernie Davis favorite spot to eat and it’s still there. That’s mind blowing."

Wimberly joins Hart, David McMorris, Trashon Dye, Travon Dye, Tristen Graham and Noah Rosahac as commitments in Syracuse's current 2024 class.
