Syracuse will get an official visit this weekend from elite Ohio State transfer quarterback Kyle McCord according to Rivals National Recruiting Analyst Adam Friedman.
McCord led the Buckeyes to an 11-1 season, with its only blemish being a loss to rival Michigan. He finished the season with 3,170 yards with 24 touchdowns against six interceptions.
That left OSU out of the College Football Playoff, and led McCord into the portal.
Other schools pursuing McCord currently include Auburn, Duke, Louisville and Michigan.
One school that is out of the running is Nebraska according to a report from On3 Sports. McCord was thought to be in position to land with the Cornhuskers as of Tuesday, but on Wednesday, McCord was reported to have moved on. Nebraska is rumored to have flipped elite five-star QB Dylan Raiola from Georgia.
McCord, a Rivals four-star recruit in the 2021 cycle, was the No. 35 overall prospect in his class and the No. 4 overall signal caller. He is a Philadelphia native.
