Former Syracuse and NFL linebacker Rich Scanlon is still bullish on the 2023 team despite two lopsided losses. Scanlon, a former All Big East who went on to play five seasons in the NFL linebacker, predicted the Orange to win 7-8 games in August and is still holding to that prediction on this week's The Juice on the Cuse Podcast, presented by Rivals.com.

Part of that reason is that following a tough matchup against FSU this weekend, the schedule becomes significantly more manageable, with Boston College, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh and Georgia Tech still left.

"I'm still super optimistic on what I said at the beginning of the year. Looking at the rest of the schedule (after Florida State), they're all a toss up. We could win all five of those games. If we won all five of those games, it wouldn't be considered an upset. I'm still very bullish."

Afterward, 2025 ATH Bryce Kania discusses his recent trip to Syracuse in September and the latest on his recruitment. He was offered by the Orange earlier in the year, and also holds offers from Penn and Princeton.
