Syracuse landed a commitment from South Carolina transfer quarterback Braden Davis on Thursday afternoon, he announced on social media.
Davis entered the portal in April after not seeing any action during his freshman season with the Gamecocks last year.
The 6-foot-5, 202-pound dual-threat passer was named Gatorade Delaware Football Player of the Year following his senior season of high school in 2021.
That year, he completed 114 of 156 passes for 1,872 yards and 20 touchdowns while adding 638 yards and three more scores on 46 carries.
He has four years of eligibility remaining.
Syracuse added depth to its quarterback room after backups Justin Lamson and JaCobian Morgan entered the transfer portal, and 2023 quarterback LaNorris Sellers flipped his commitment to South Carolina.
