Syracuse Recruiting Roundup: 3/4/24

Syracuse made cut lists for several top recruits, several others scheduled visits, and still more received offers in the past week.

Here's a recap of what took place in our first recruiting roundup of March.

2025 wide receiver Michael Thomas III dropped a top 5 on Friday afternoon, and Syracuse has made the cut. The other four schools on the list are Boston College, Illinois, Penn State and Rutgers.

2025 defensive lineman Ethan Utley will announce his commitment on March 28, he announced on social media.

The Ensworth (TN) prospect is a Rivals four-star prospect and the No. 156 overall recruit in his class. He whittled his list of over three dozen colleges down to his top 5 of Syracuse, Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan and Tennessee in December.

One of the fastest rising Garden State prospects in the 2025 class is West Orange (NJ) High linebacker EahJay McAdams. He picked up an offer from Syracuse in February, and has set an official visit date to Central New York.

2025 running back Amir Knighton will get a closer look at Syracuse later this year, first for spring practice in April and then Elite Camp in June, he said to The Juice Online.

2026 defensive lineman Dominic Funke's offer sheet includes Boston College, Temple, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Wisconsin, with his most recent high-major offer coming from Syracuse.

One of the top signal callers in the 2026 class out of New Jersey is DePaul Catholic's Derek Zammit. He's closing in on a dozen offers, with one of his most recent coming from Syracuse.

2027 offensive lineman Jacob Burns already holds half a dozen offers after his freshman season at Tabor Academy in Massachusetts. But when Syracuse offered Burns earlier in February, it took on special meaning for him. "The Syracuse offer is pretty surreal for me right now," Burns said to The Juice Online.

2026 offensive lineman Maddox Cochrane is an emerging prospect from Benedictine College Prep in Virginia. Pitt, Virginia Tech, Duke and Maryland are some of the schools to have already offered, and earlier in February, he picked up an offer from the Orange.
