Syracuse Recruiting Roundup: 3 prospects flip to Syracuse

It was a huge weekend for Syracuse Football. New head coach Fran Brown got the first three commitments, and made a big impression on several other prospects.

2024 wide receiver Jaylan Hornsby flipped his commitment from Texas A&M to the Orange. "It wasn't only the relationship that I have with the coaches, it's the culture that they're bringing to Syracuse," he said to Rivals.

New Jersey's No. 1 prospect and the No. 191 overall player in the 2024 cycle, four-star running back Yasin Willis, flipped from Pittsburgh to the Orange. "They have a plan and it's something great and I want to be a part of that," he said to Rivals.

2024 ATH Jahide Lesaine Jr. flipped his commitment to Syracuse on Sunday evening following his official visit, he announced on social media. He had initially committed to Kent State on Dec. 4.

One of the top prospects in Georgia, defensive lineman KingJoseph Edwards also took an official visit. He is down to Syracuse, Colorado and Florida State. "What I admire about the program is their ambition to improve and be better," he said to The Juice Online.

Tight end Elijah Washington, who committed to Syracuse in August, was also on campus for an official visit. The Lake Taylor (VA) prospect got a chance to get to know the new coaching staff better on the trip. "It was great," he tells The Juice Online.
