Syracuse Recruiting Roundup: May 15, 2023
Today, May 15, is 'Bring Flowers to Someone Day,' and while we don't have flowers to give you today at The Juice Online, we've got a recap of the entire last week in the Syracuse recruiting world to give you.
2024 tight end Jamie Tremble holds more than a dozen offers from schools like Boston College, Duke, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest. Tremble added to that growing list last week, picking up an offer from Syracuse and our Charles Kang spoke to him about it.
2025 defensive back Deshawn Stewart is one of the fastest rising prospects in the Garden State. In a short span, he's received offers from Liberty, Boston College, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Connecticut and Syracuse. He spoke to our Charles Kang about the Orange offer.
2025 ATH Braswell Thomas is one of the top prospects in New Jersey. The Lower Cape May (NJ) High athlete has an offer list that already includes schools like Georgia, Penn State, Rutgers, Maryland and Tennessee. Syracuse was the last school to offer him and he chatted with our Charles Kang about it.
2026 ATH Welman Crooms Jr. has an offer sheet that includes Pittsburgh, Boston College and Virginia Tech. Syracuse was the latest to offer the wide receiver/defensive back and Charles Kang spoke to him about it.
2024 offensive lineman Jack Small will take an official visit to Syracuse on June 16 and to Duke on June 23 and he chatted with our Charles Kang about it and also his new top 7 list. Small has taken two unofficial visits to Syracuse in January and most recently in April.
2024 defensive tackle Jowhar Franklin Jr. is one of the elite prospects in his class. The three-star Rivals athlete holds roughly 30 offers, including from a plethora of blue bloods. Syracuse was the latest school to offer him on Thursday, and our Charles Kang caught up with him.
2025 wide receiver Michael Thomas III received an offer from Syracuse last week, adding to a list that already includes Penn State, Rutgers and Pitt. He spoke to our Charles Kang about the offer and his previous visit to Central New York: "I can't believe I'm saying this, but in terms of atmosphere, Syracuse is better than Penn State."
2026 defensive lineman Carmelo McKenzie picked up his first Power 5 offer last week, and our Charles Kang spoke to him about it. He also holds an offer from Charlotte.
Elite 2024 Long Beach (CA) Poly wide receiver Jason Robinson Jr. named his top 10 schools on Friday, and Syracuse made the cut. The other nine schools on his list are Pitt, Notre Dame, Colorado, Florida State, Utah, California, Penn State, Washington and USC. He tells our Charles Kang he will take an official visit to Syracuse in June.
Santa Barbara (CA) City College defensive back transfer Jakobie Seabourn took an official visit to Syracuse this weekend, received an offer, and spoke to our Charles Kang about it. He also said a decision is coming 'soon.'
2026 wide receiver BJ Garrett has received three offers over the past two weeks, from Charlotte, Syracuse and Pittsburgh. Our Charles Kang caught up with him to talk about the latest with his recruitment.
2024 linebacker Cael Brezina received an offer from Syracuse last week, and tells our Charles Kang that SU is among his top four offers. The three-star Rivals prospect holds over a dozen offers.
