Alliance (OH) High quarterback Brendan Zurbrugg flipped his commitment from Syracuse to Northwestern, he announced on social media.
Zurbrugg committed shortly after his official visit to Syracuse earlier in June, but the Ohio native will now play for the Wildcats, a school that is closer to home for the signal caller.
He selected the Wildcats over a dozen offers, including Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Dartmouth, Yale, Kent State and Toledo.
"I’m a high accuracy passer with a completion percentage last year of 79% and I’m a good runner also," Zurbrugg said in a previous interview about the Orange. "My dual threat allows me to fit into the scheme very well."
Zurbrugg's announcement comes a day after Syracuse received a commitment from 2024 Rivals three-star quarterback Jahkari Williams.
