2024 WR Jaylan Hornsby commits to Syracuse

2024 three-star wide receiver Jaylan Hornsby committed to Syracuse, he announced on social media.

Hornsby had been committed to Texas A&M since July, but flipped in part due to Elijah Robinson moving from the Aggies to the Orange where he is now the defensive coordinator.

"It's only going to go up from here," he said to Rivals National Recruiting Analyst Adam Friedman. "Speaking to the other coaches there, they're going to make it more competitive and try to bring the dog out of everybody. Everything is going to be more competitive going forward and that's the best way you could have it."

The Winslow Township (NJ) athlete took an official visit to Syracuse over the weekend.

Hornsby is the No. 8 prospect in New Jersey and is also the 92nd ranked player at his position.

"Hornsby is a high-ceiling prospect with a basketball background," Friedman said. "He'll have a chance to play early in his career at Syracuse so it'l be interesting to see how quickly he develops the finer points of his game."
