2025 WR Darien Williams commits to Syracuse

2025 Syracuse (NY) Christian Brothers Academy wide receiver Darien Williams has committed to Syracuse, he announced on social media.

Williams received an SU offer earlier in February, and selected the Orange over offers from Boston College, Pitt, Connecticut, Temple and Massachusetts.

Williams, a Rivals three-star prospect and the Empire State's No. 2 overall prospect, was recruited under the Dino Babers regime, and that continued into the Fran Brown era.

"I just truly loved Syracuse," Williams said to The Juice Online. "They had everything that I truly wanted and I think I could be successful academically and athletically."

Williams attended games in the 2022 season and also was on campus in April for Syracuse's spring practices. He also attended Syracuse's win over Army in the fall.

His CBA team is coming off a dream 2023 season where they went 14-0 and captured the New York State AA Championship. Williams was named First Team All-State after an MVP title game performance where he hauled in seven receptions for 236 yards and three touchdowns.

"I am a very speedy receiver," Williams said in a previous interview. "The type of receiver where it’s like, either go for a deep shot down the field, or a quick screen pass, or jet sweep to have the ball in my hands. I use my speed and quickness to make a play."
