Syracuse guard Symir Torrence has entered the transfer portal, according to a report from ESPN's Jeff Borzello.

Torrence placed the last two seasons at Syracuse as a reserve guard. In the 2022-23 season, he appeared in 31 games, averaging 11.2 mpg, 2.4 ppg and 1.6 apg.

Torrence played for two seasons at Marquette where he appeared in 52 games. In 113 collegiate games, he's averaged 2.3 ppg and 1.9 apg over 113 appearances.

Though Torrence has used four years of eligibility, he has an additional year because of the 2020-21 season, which was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Torrence, who grew up in Syracuse, was the No. 90 recruit out of high school and rated four stars.

He becomes the second player from the Orange to enter the transfer portal so far, joining John Bol Ajak. The news of his transfer comes on the same day the Orange landed a commitment from Notre Dame transfer JJ Starling.
