Syracuse linebacker Mikel Jones has signed an UDFA deal with the Los Angeles Chargers.

The three-time All-ACC linebacker was a semifinalist for the Butkus Award in 2022. He concluded his senior season with 84 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, five quarterback hurries, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery on the season.

He was also a two-year captain of the defense that finished in the season 14th nationally in passing defense (184.8) and 21st in total defense (328.6).
