Alliance (OH) High quarterback Brendan Zurbrugg committed to Syracuse, he announced on social media.

Zurbrugg was on an official visit to Syracuse this weekend after he had received an offer from the Orange earlier in the month.

He selected the Orange over a dozen offers, including Northwestern, Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Dartmouth, Yale, Kent State and Toledo.

His primary recruiters at Syracuse are offensive coordinator Jason Beck and assistant quarterbacks coach Manny Harris.

Zurbrugg said he has been in touch with them every week for the last four months.

"(We) have a strong relationship," Zurbrugg said.

The coaching staff sold Zurbrugg on his fit within the SU system.

"I’m a high accuracy passer with a completion percentage last year of 79% and I’m a good runner also," Zurbrugg said in a previous interview. "My dual threat allows me to fit into the scheme very well."

Zurbrugg joins Jamie Tremble, Clinton Robinson, Jaden Hart, Zekai Wimberly, David McMorris, Trashon Dye, Travon Dye, Tristen Graham and Noah Rosahac as commitments in Syracuse's 2024 class.
