2025 offensive lineman Bryon Washington committed to Syracuse during his unofficial visit this weekend, he announced on social media.

Washington selected Syracuse over an offer sheet with over a dozen schools, including Texas, Baylor, Houston, TCU and Oregon, among others.

"I'm a leader first of all," Washington said. "I'm dominant at the point of attack. I'm all-around lineman that is developing his weaknesses."

Washington plays for powerhouse Desoto (TX) High, which went 15-0 in 2023 and won the UIL 6A D2 Championship. Washington was part of a Eagles offense that averaged 53.4 points per game.

While he described himself as a 'down South boy,' he previously said he was drawn to Syracuse because of the relationships he's built with the current coaching staff, including Nick Williams, who recruited him while he was at Colorado.

"I respect the way he coaches, and he respects the way I play," Washington said. "It's a mutual respect there. I would love to have him as a coach. He's a great guy and understands the Texas way of playing."
