GREENSBORO, N.C. - After his breakout performance, RB Sean Tucker earned ACC Running Back of the Week, while DB Trill Williams’ defensive efforts earned him ACC Defensive Back of the Week.

Tucker became the first Syracuse freshman to run for 100 yards in a game since 2015. In seeing the most significant action of his career during Saturday’s win over Georgia Tech, Tucker made his presence known right from the start, taking his third touch of the game 38-yards a touchdown. He finished the day with 112 yards on 24 carries (4.7 yards per carry).

Williams had one interception and scored on a different pick six. The junior intercepted a pass in the Georgia Tech red zone in the first half and returned it 47 yards into Yellow Jacket territory to setup a first quarter score. Later, he finished the job himself on a Ja’Had Carter fourth-quarter interception. Carter lateralled the ball to Williams who took it to the house for the score. Williams also had five tackles and two pass breakups in the victory.
