Former Syracuse star Rich Scanlon returned to Central New York in July to speak to the current team. The former All Big East and five-year NFL linebacker discussed setting up for life after football, and also had a chance to get to know the team better.
I spoke with Scanlon on this week's The Juice on the Cuse Podcast, presented by Rivals.com, and we discussed his trip to SU, his thoughts on the current linebacker core, which players he believes will play at the next level, and his predictions for the 2023 season.
"I think seven wins would be my expectations just looking at the schedule," Scanlon says. "I think eight wins are possible. We have to finish a couple of games, but the schedule sets itself up, and we have to keep ourselves healthy."
Afterward, editor-in-chief Brad Bierman calls in to discuss the latest in realignment, including Utah, Arizona and Arizona State defecting from the Pac 12 to the Big 12, and whether the ACC will look to add Stanford, California and perhaps other teams in the near future.
