Syracuse recruiting: A couple weeks in review

The Syracuse Orange have had many prospects showing interest in them so far in the recruiting process. Read on to find out about what a few prospects said over the past week.

North Plainfield (NJ) North Plainfield defensive tackle Tyson Chandler had a solid junior season with 52 tackles and 22 of them were for a loss. However even after that solid season Chandler had to wait awhile for his offers to come in. Now as June arrives he is carrying a half dozen offers.

Sugar Land (TX) Fort Bend Austin offensive center Ben Hughes is the son of a former NFL player Mike Hughes who was drafted by the Washington Redskins. Now the younger Hughes is trying to make his mark on the football field as he is holding onto a few scholarship offers.

Hyattsville (MD) DeMatha outside linebacker Raheem Cardwell was a second team all conference performer a season ago. The numbers that helped him reach that mark were 60 tackles including six sacks. Those numbers led to a Syracuse scholarship offer and CuseConfidential caught up with the prospect.
