Syracuse Recruiting Roundup: October 9, 2023

Though Syracuse football was on the road over the weekend and didn't host any recruits on campus, there is still plenty of news from the Orange recruiting world to get to in this week's roundup.

2025 wide receiver Daunte Bacheyie picked up his first offer on Friday from his hometown college, Syracuse. "I am very thankful for the opportunity given to me by Syracuse," he tells us.

One of the top Keystone State prospects in the 2026 class is Fort Cherry's Matt Sieg. The ATH's recruitment has taken off as just a sophomore, with Penn State, Nebraska and Pittsburgh all extending offers, and Syracuse adding to that list last week.

2025 ATH Bryce Kania got his first look at Syracuse for a game day atmosphere for SU's matchup against Clemson two weekends ago, and he came away with an even better perception of the school, he tells us in an interview.

BJ Garrett received an offer from Syracuse over the summer and saw SU's game day atmosphere for the first time against Clemson. "It was a great first game day experience at Syracuse," he said to us.

2024 ATH Ervin Wiggins Jr. received a PWO offer from Syracuse in September, and visited on Sept. 30 for the Clemson game. "It was awesome," Wiggins said to us in an interview. "The Dome was so loud and the Orange family was very welcoming."

Jayden Loftin received his first offer from Syracuse following Big Man Camp in June, and got to take in a game at the JMA Wireless Dome. "The atmosphere and culture is something that I can see myself playing in. Loved every part of it," he said to us.

Syracuse hosted several elite basketball prospects on the Sept. 30 weekend, and one of them was four-star 2025 guard Derek Dixon. "Syracuse is definitely high in my recruitment and a good option I will continue to explore," he said to us about his official visit.
