Garrett Williams’ commitment to the Syracuse Orange happened back in early August. He toured the campus back in late July and he really liked what he saw and just a few days later he pulled the trigger on a commitment.

The 6-foot, 170-pound athlete prospect has been locked in Syracuse for some time now and is planning on visiting campus again real soon.

“Syracuse is my only visit I have locked in right now,” Williams told Cuse Confidential. “I plan on visiting them real soon for the Florida State game next weekend.”

Williams is excited to get back on campus as he hasn’t been back in a little under two months.

“I’m hoping to see the atmosphere and the energy fans bring to the games,” said Williams. “It’s important to see that because of how important it is to have big fan support. Also I of course want to personally see how coaches interact with players and the direction the team is headed.”

Although Williams is considered a Syracuse verbal commitment, other schools are still pushing the 2019 defensive back.

“Of course I’m hearing a ton from Syracuse lately,” he said. “Wake Forest, Duke, and UNC are reaching out to me and want me to visit. Right now the only visit I plan on making is to Syracuse.”

We have more on Williams right here on Cuse Confidential immediately after next weekends unofficial visit.
